'Some people think Keno is too complicated, but every millennial is familiar with emojis!'. This was the problem statement that was provided to me before the project began. Armed with this statement, I had to come up with sketches, logo designs, and wireframes that would provide the basis of a spec that we could iterate on as a team.
I began sketching logo ideas on paper, before experimenting with font parings for the logo in Photoshop. After the bulk of the logo work was done, this provided the inspiration to continue experimenting with colour palettes and Emoji styles. I was already familiar with the Keno game concept, having designed and prototyped screens for this game in a previous project. It was therefore not much of a leap to brainstorm new ways of interpreting the Keno format. A few days were spent mocking up the wireframes and user flows, with regular catchups with BAs and developers to test the feasibility of certain ideas. After this, I moved on to Sketch in order to design the rest of the application.
